Disney's cash rate for this room was sampled Feb 5 to 12, 2026, so it isn't a quote for these dates.
How we work this out
- Points needed are summed night by night from Disney's own 2026 point chart (checked September 24, 2026), using each night's real Sunday to Thursday or Friday and Saturday rate, not an average. Points are exact.
- Rental cost is points × the rental rate, the midpoint of the $18 to $25 a point broker range The Points Guy reported in March 2025 (our assumption: a broker's quote may differ). We add nothing for tax or fees; ask your broker whether its quote includes any.
- Disney cash is Disney's published Regular-season cash rate for that room, tax included, as listed by MouseSavers, times the number of nights. It was sampled Feb 5 to 12, 2026 (Feb 20 to Mar 5, 2026 for the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort), so it isn't a quote for these November dates. Disney charges more in busier seasons and less in value seasons.
- This stay is Sunday to Friday, so every night uses Disney's Sunday to Thursday points rate. Cash uses Disney's lowest weekday rate for every night: Sunday to Wednesday at the resorts where Disney charges more on Thursdays, Sunday to Thursday elsewhere. The real cash total can be slightly higher.
- Disney cash is Disney's full (rack) rate. We haven't checked Disney's public discounts for these dates, which can narrow the gap.
- Rental discount = 1 − (rental cost ÷ Disney cash). Best for you is the cheaper of the two for this stay.
- Prices are estimates, rounded to the nearest $5 under $100, $10 under $1,000 and $50 from $1,000 up. Each line is rounded on its own, so a total may not match its lines exactly. Confirm prices with Disney before you book.
- Renting gives up some things a cash stay includes, such as flexible cancellation, more frequent housekeeping and package bundling.

Frequently asked questions
How many Disney Vacation Club points do I need for my stay?
It depends on the resort, room type, view category and the exact nights of your stay. DVC prices Sunday through Thursday nights differently from Friday and Saturday nights, and the per-night point cost changes several times a year as Disney's travel periods shift. This tool adds up the real chart value for each individual night of your dates.
Is renting DVC points actually cheaper than booking with Disney directly?
Often, but not always, and it depends heavily on the room and dates. Where this tool shows a Cash Total, the Rental Discount percentage compares a rental at the rate you set against Disney's Regular-season cash rate for that room, sampled for one early-2026 week, so treat it as a guide rather than a quote for your dates. A small number of room types don't have a Cash Total yet because they rarely show up for cash booking at all; the tool says so rather than guessing.
Does renting points include everything a cash Disney reservation does?
No. Most rentals are non-refundable or heavily restricted once confirmed, housekeeping is typically less frequent than a cash stay, and a rental can't be bundled into a Disney package with tickets and dining. This tool prices the room only.
