Disney Disclaimer

Stack the Magic is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Walt Disney Company.

1. No affiliation, endorsement, or sponsorship

Stack the Magic ("STM," "we," "us") is an independent, privately operated publication owned by Stack the Magic LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company. STM is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, licensed by, or in any way officially connected with The Walt Disney Company, Disney Enterprises, Inc., Walt Disney Parks and Resorts U.S., Inc., Disney Vacation Club, or any of their parent, subsidiary, or affiliated companies (collectively, "Disney"). We do not speak for Disney, we have no special or non-public access to Disney data, pricing, or policy, and nothing on this site should be read as an official Disney statement, product, or communication.

We are lifelong Disney World visitors writing for other Disney World visitors. That's the whole relationship.

2. Trademarks and copyrights belong to Disney

Names, titles, characters, places, attractions, resorts, logos, and other marks referenced on this site — including but not limited to "Disney," "Walt Disney World," "Magic Kingdom," "EPCOT," "Disney's Hollywood Studios," "Disney's Animal Kingdom," "Disney Springs," "Disney Vacation Club" and "DVC," "Genie+," "Lightning Lane," and the names of individual attractions, resorts, restaurants, and characters — are trademarks, service marks, trade dress, and/or copyrighted works of Disney and its licensors. All rights in those marks and works belong to their respective owners. Our use of them is referential only, per section 3 below, and is never a claim of ownership, license, or authorization.

Stack the Magic's own name, logo, and site design are separate original works belonging to Stack the Magic LLC and are never built from Disney trademarks or copyrighted designs.

3. Why we use Disney's names anyway (nominative fair use)

We can't write about Walt Disney World without naming it, its parks, its resorts, or its attractions — there's no substitute term that would let a reader find the thing we're describing. Using another party's trademark solely to identify, discuss, compare, or comment on that party's own goods or services — without suggesting sponsorship or endorsement — is a well-established, legally protected use commonly called nominative fair use. That's the basis for every Disney name on this site: we name Space Mountain because we're discussing Space Mountain, not because we're claiming any connection to it.

This protection has limits, and we keep to them deliberately:

  • We name Disney's marks; we don't reproduce Disney's logos, character art, or trade dress.
  • We don't use Disney's marks in our own branding, domain name, or visual identity.
  • We don't word anything — a headline, a tool name, a byline — so it could be mistaken for something Disney published or authorized.

4. Where our information comes from — and why you should double-check it

Our editorial process requires every price, policy, or factual claim to be sourced and linked at the point it's made, with facts from Disney's own public pages credited to Disney by name and link. We do not use Disney's private mobile-app APIs or scrape non-public Disney systems.

Even so: Disney changes prices, policies, hours, and offerings often, sometimes without notice, and we are not always the first to know. Nothing here is a substitute for checking Disney's own official site or app before you book, buy, or travel. See our AI disclosure for more on how our content gets made and why you should verify it before relying on it.

5. Editorial imagery

Featured and in-post images come from royalty-free stock libraries (Unsplash, Pexels) or original photography, never from Disney's press materials, other outlets, or Disney's copyrighted character art.

6. If you believe something here infringes your rights

If you are a rights holder (including Disney) and believe content on this site infringes a trademark or other right, contact us at contact@stackthemagic.com with (a) the specific URL, (b) the specific right you believe is infringed, and (c) how to reach you. We will review the claim promptly and remove or correct anything found to actually infringe. For copyright claims, please use the notice process below.

To be effective, a notice must be in writing and include (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

  • your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or a person authorized to act for the owner;
  • identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed (or, for several works, a representative list);
  • identification of the material you believe is infringing, with the URL or other information reasonably sufficient for us to find it;
  • your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address;
  • a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
  • a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Counter-notices. If we remove material you posted because of a notice and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send the designated agent a counter-notice that meets 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). We will forward it to the person who sent the original notice and, unless they tell us they have filed a court action, restore the material no sooner than 10 and no later than 14 business days after we receive it.

Repeat infringers. In appropriate circumstances, we will end the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe others' copyrights.

Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, can make you liable for damages (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)).
