Frequently asked questions
How many dining plan credits does a meal take at Disney World?
On a Disney dining plan, a table-service meal takes one table-service credit per person and a quick-service meal one quick-service credit, with one snack credit per snack. Signature restaurants, dinner shows, Cinderella's Royal Table, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, Artist Point and Be Our Guest lunch or dinner take two table-service credits per person, as MouseSavers' dining plan guide lists them. Kids 3 to 9 hold their own child credits.
When can I make dining reservations at Disney World?
Advance dining reservations open 60 days before each dining date at 6:00 AM Eastern. Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel can book up to 10 days of their stay on one morning, 60 days before check-in, which is why the planner lists every table-service pick with the morning its window opens (MouseSavers' reservations guide). Confirm exact times in the My Disney Experience app.
Do dining plan credits have to be used on the day you get them?
No. Credits are issued for your whole stay and roll over, so you can spend two table-service credits on one signature dinner and none the next day. The planner counts your whole trip against your whole allotment for that reason. Credits that are left at check-out expire, so the running total shows what you still have to place.
Is the Disney Dining Plan worth it for my family?
It depends on how your group eats, which is why this planner shows credits, not dollars. For the money side, our Dining Plan Calculator prices the same trip with and without each plan; lay out your meals here first, then take the mix of sit-down and quick-service meals into the calculator.
