How do I know if an Annual Pass is worth it compared to buying tickets?

It depends on how many trips and park days you have planned over the next 12 months, since an Annual Pass's price only pays off once your ticket costs for the year would have exceeded it. This tool adds up your specific trips against every pass tier you're eligible for and tells you the cheaper option and the gap in dollars, rather than a one-size-fits-all rule of thumb.

Who can buy each Walt Disney World Annual Pass?

The Incredi-Pass has no residency requirement. The Sorcerer Pass is limited to Florida residents and Disney Vacation Club members. The Pirate Pass and Pixie Dust Pass are limited to Florida residents only. The tool only shows you passes you're actually eligible to buy, based on how you answer the “who's going” questions.

What are Annual Pass blockout dates, and how does the tool handle them?

Every pass except the Incredi-Pass blocks admission on certain high-demand dates, such as Thanksgiving week, the Christmas-to-New-Year's stretch, and (for the Pirate and Pixie Dust Passes) spring break and summer holiday weeks. If a pass is blocked out for most of the month you're going (spring break in March, for the Pirate and Pixie Dust Passes), the tool adds regular tickets for that whole trip on top of the pass price. If only part of the month is blocked, such as Christmas week in December, it assumes you'll plan around those dates and tells you which ones to avoid.

Does the calculator include parking, Park Hopper, and PhotoPass?

Yes. Every Annual Pass includes park hopping, and Disney includes standard theme park parking for select Annual Passholders, while date-based tickets charge separately for both. The tool also lets you add Disney PhotoPass or Memory Maker so the comparison reflects your actual planned spending, not just the pass or ticket price alone.
