WDW Turns 55: What Opening Day (Oct 1, 1971) Actually Cost vs. Today

On October 1, 2026, Walt Disney World turns 55. We put the 1971 opening-day price sheet (tickets, parking, the Contemporary, the Polynesian) next to 2026 prices and inflation. Parking pulled furthest ahead, at more than 8 times. Tickets weren't far behind.
