The holidays are close, and this week's planning questions are about where you'll eat, where you'll sleep and what's changing at the parks. Here's what's new and what it means for your trip.

## New on Stack the Magic

[Disney World Dining Planner: Where to Eat Each Day, with Dining Plan Credits](https://www.stackthemagic.com/dining-planner/) is our new tool. Lay out each day of your trip, pick breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks from the restaurants there, and see the dining plan credits each meal takes for your whole party.

[Caribbean Beach vs. Pop Century: Is a Moderate Worth It?](https://www.stackthemagic.com/caribbean-beach-vs-pop-century-is-a-moderate-worth-it/) Our answer is absolutely. In 2027 the gap is usually $70 to $100 a night, and it buys a waterslide pool and a more resort-like stay. If you only sleep in the room, Pop Century still does the job.

[From Splash Mountain to Tiana's Bayou Adventure: The History of the Ride](https://www.stackthemagic.com/tianas-bayou-adventure-history-splash-mountain/) is a dated timeline, from the 1992 opening to the January 2023 closing and the June 2024 debut.

[How Disney Pin Trading Went From a Free Cast Member Swap to a Collector Economy](https://www.stackthemagic.com/pin-tradings-secret-economy-how-a-cast-member-perk-became-a-multimillion-dollar-collector-hobby/) covers the hobby since 1999\. Trading with a Cast Member is still free, pin for pin, up to two per Cast Member a day.

## Disney news that matters

Our daily updates covered a few things worth knowing:

- [Oct. 27:](https://www.stackthemagic.com/stm-disney-world-updates-2026-10-27/) most holiday treats start at Animal Kingdom on Nov. 6, and Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid stops running at 7 PM on Nov. 5 (the park stays open until 10 PM).
- [Oct. 24:](https://www.stackthemagic.com/stm-disney-world-updates-2026-10-24/) Magic Kingdom's Christmas parade runs at 2 PM on Nov. 10 and 11, and it needs only a regular park ticket, no party ticket. EPCOT's Candlelight Processional narrator lineup is also complete.

## Tool of the week: Dining Planner

Dining plan credits roll over across your whole stay, so one signature dinner at two table-service credits doesn't mean skipping the next night. The [Dining Planner](https://www.stackthemagic.com/dining-planner/) counts your whole trip against your whole allotment and shows what you still have to place. Build the day-by-day plan there first, then take the mix of sit-down and quick-service meals to our Dining Plan Calculator to price it. A free account adds the reservation checklist and a printable plan.

## Coming up

From our [Tiana's history post](https://www.stackthemagic.com/tianas-bayou-adventure-history-splash-mountain/) and our daily updates, as of Oct. 27:

- **November 2:** Tiana's Bayou Adventure starts a routine refurbishment, with a reopening expected in December 2026.
- **November 13:** Santa's Holiday Grove opens at Animal Kingdom, through Jan. 3.
- **November 21:** last day of EPCOT Food & Wine.
- **November 27:** Candlelight Processional begins at EPCOT, with Jordan Fisher narrating Nov. 27 and 28\. It runs nightly through Dec. 30.

## One tip

If you book a Moderate with a young child, ask for the child-size pull-down bed when you reserve. At Caribbean Beach some rooms have one, and you have to request it at booking. Our [Caribbean Beach vs. Pop Century post](https://www.stackthemagic.com/caribbean-beach-vs-pop-century-is-a-moderate-worth-it/) has the rest of the comparison.

See you next Thursday.
