> **Quick Answer:** A grocery delivery order is worth doing on nearly every Disney trip, mostly because it takes the daily water and snack purchases out of the parks. Water runs about $4 a bottle there and a classic snack roughly $6 to $9, while a delivered case of 24 waters ran about $10 in one Orlando service's early 2025 post. Delivery companies' own savings estimates aren't itemized, so treat any dollar total as a rough guide, not a promise. It works best in a villa with a refrigerator.

A grocery order can look like a big saver or a small one depending on who's counting, so we looked at what the things an order replaces actually cost.

Our recommendation: do a grocery order. Water shows why. A delivered case of 24 works out to roughly 40 cents a bottle, against about $4 in the parks. Stock the room with water, fruit and breakfast food, and save your park spending for the treats you came for.

## Our own savings habits

Our short list for keeping a trip affordable is the Disney Inspire Visa, a cooler of waters packed for the parks, and eating one or two meals a trip outside the park. A grocery order makes the second and third easier, because the water and something to eat are already in the room.

One catch on the cooler: [water in cans or plastic bottles is fine to bring into the parks](https://www.mousesavers.com/walt-disney-world-vacation-discounts-and-deals/disney-world-meal-snack-drink-discounts-coupons/?ref=stackthemagic.com), and Disney lets you bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks for yourself, with its park rules capping coolers at 24 by 15 by 18 inches, no loose or dry ice (use ice packs or sealed bags), no glass beyond small baby-food jars, no alcohol and no wagons.

## What water and snacks cost in the parks

Without a plan for the room, it's easy to grab breakfast at the nearest counter and buy snacks and water through the day, all at theme park prices. Breakfast in the parks is expensive, eating outside them can save a lot, and bottled water runs about $4 a bottle.

Snacks add up too. When [WDWNT reported Disney's October 2025 price increase](https://wdwnt.com/2025/10/food-and-drink-prices-increased-at-walt-disney-world-and-disneyland/?ref=stackthemagic.com), a Mickey pretzel was $8.49 and a pineapple Dole Whip cup $5.79\. Prices may have moved since, so treat these as a guide.

| What it costs | Price |
| -------------------------------------- | ----------- |
| Bottled water in the parks, per bottle | About $4 |
| Pineapple Dole Whip cup | About $6 |
| Mickey pretzel | About $8.50 |
| Case of 24 bottled waters, delivered | About $10 |

Water in the parks from MouseSavers (updated October 7, 2026). Snacks as WDWNT reported them in October 2025\. The case price is Garden Grocer's own figure from its February 2025 money-saving post, so check its current price. Last Checked: October 10, 2026.

## Order once, from a service set up for Disney resorts

The alternative is one grocery order delivered to your resort before you arrive. [Garden Grocer](https://gardengrocer.com/faqs?ref=stackthemagic.com), an Orlando delivery service, has a $50 minimum and charges a $15 delivery fee on orders under $200, with delivery free at $200 and up unless the order includes alcohol. Resorts on Disney property will hold and refrigerate your groceries (alcohol excepted), so you don't have to be there for delivery, and two days ahead is the recommended lead time.

Instacart is the other route. Delivery and service fees vary, so check the total at checkout before you compare it with anything above.

On Disney's side, [its Mail Services page says](https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/mail-services/?ref=stackthemagic.com) grocery deliveries are subject to each resort's policies and may be unavailable, limited or restricted. Bell Services charges $6 to bring an order to your room, or you can pick it up in the lobby for free.

## Why allergy families may like it

For a family managing a nut, dairy or gluten allergy, the money is only half of it. Instead of having the same conversation at a new counter every morning, you can pick your own groceries and read the labels ahead of time. It doesn't replace Disney's allergy process for meals in the parks, and the labels and your family's own medical advice still decide what's on the table.

## Where you're staying changes the order

Cold storage is the biggest variable. [Disney's refrigerator page](https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/refrigerators/?ref=stackthemagic.com) lists small beverage coolers in rooms at many of its resort hotels, and in-room refrigerators in the villas at its Deluxe Villa resorts. In a standard room, keep milk, eggs and fruit to what a small cooler holds and lean on shelf-stable food like cereal, granola bars and peanut butter. The coolers aren't suitable for medication that needs refrigeration.

## So, is it worth it?

Yes, on nearly every trip. It's most worth it in a villa, for early risers who'd rather eat before rope drop than queue for breakfast, and for allergy families. Only a night or two? A small order still covers water, snacks and fruit, though the $15 delivery fee under $200 and the $6 Bell Services fee weigh more on a small one. And if a character breakfast or a Mickey waffle is the part your family is looking forward to, keep it and let the groceries cover everything around it.

## Frequently Asked Questions

**Can I have alcohol delivered with my Disney World grocery order?**

Someone has to meet the driver. Garden Grocer says that for an order with any alcohol you must be there during the delivery window with a valid photo ID, and Disney's page says a resort won't accept a delivery that needs ID on your behalf. Leave the alcohol off and the resort can hold the rest.
