- Description: Most Disney World standard rooms sleep four. Here is where five fit in one room in 2027, with nightly ranges: a 1-bedroom DVC villa, a room with two queens and a pull-out bed, a Family Suite, and how a baby in a crib counts.

> **Quick Answer:** For a family of five, we'd book a 1-bedroom DVC villa that sleeps five, or a room with two queens plus a pull-out bed. In 2027 those run from about $290 a night at a Moderate to roughly $1,650 at the priciest Deluxe villa, before tax (January to November; holiday weeks cost more). Check the room's capacity before you book, since some 1-bedroom villas sleep only four.

Five people is where Disney's room rules start to cost real money. Most Value and Moderate standard rooms sleep four, so the default answer is two rooms. You can often do better with one room that was built for five.

## Our two answers

Our first choice is a 1-bedroom DVC villa. Our other go-to is a room with two queens plus a pull-out bed. A separate bedroom and a living room make bedtime easier for everyone, and a pull-out keeps everybody in one room for less money.

One of us still has a little one in a pack 'n play, which matters here. [MouseSavers' 2027 rate charts](https://www.mousesavers.com/2027-riviera-room-rates-season-dates/?ref=stackthemagic.com) note that a single child under 3 in a crib doesn't count toward a room's maximum occupancy. A pack 'n play counts as a crib for that rule. So a family with a baby may fit a standard room that sleeps four.

## Where five fit, and what it costs

These are the one-room options we'd look at first, in order of price. Disney lists capacity in adults.

| Room | Sleeps | 2027 nightly |
| ---------------------------------------- | ------------------------ | -------------- |
| Caribbean Beach, 2 queens | 4, plus a child-size bed | $290 to $420 |
| Port Orleans Riverside, 5th-sleeper room | 4, plus a child-size bed | $330 to $450 |
| Art of Animation Family Suite | 6 | $480 to $890 |
| Beach Club hotel room | 5 | $610 to $980 |
| Saratoga Springs 1-bedroom villa | 5 | $640 to $1,050 |
| Riviera 1-bedroom villa | 5 | $950 to $1,650 |

Disney's full rack rates, before tax, rounded, from MouseSavers' and Touring Plans' 2027 rate charts. Every range covers January to November 2027; December isn't included. Last Checked: October 10, 2026.

## Check the villa before you book

Not every 1-bedroom villa sleeps five. Disney's pages list [Riviera's](https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/riviera-resort/rates-rooms/room-only/?ref=stackthemagic.com) and Saratoga Springs' 1-bedroom villas at up to 5 adults. At Beach Club Villas and BoardWalk Villas, the 1-bedroom sleeps up to 4, but their studios sleep up to 5, with a queen bed, a queen-size pull-down and a single pull-down.

So the EPCOT-area villas still work for five, as a studio. You give up the separate bedroom, which is the reason we like a 1-bedroom, so it's worth deciding which matters more.

## The pull-out route

If a villa is out of budget, look for a room with two queens and a pull-out or sleeper. At [Beach Club](https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/beach-club-resort/rates-rooms/room-only/?ref=stackthemagic.com), Disney's page lists a Deluxe Room with two queens and a queen-size sleeper sofa at up to 6 adults, and its resort-view rooms at up to 5\. Six Deluxe hotels have a standard room that sleeps five, and they carry Deluxe price tags.

The Moderates are cheaper but tighter. Caribbean Beach and Port Orleans Riverside sleep four adults, with a child-size fifth bed in certain rooms. At Port Orleans Riverside that's the Alligator Bayou room. At Caribbean Beach you ask for it when you book. That works well for a child, less well for a tall teenager.

## Is the Family Suite the Value answer?

Art of Animation's Family Suites sleep up to six, with a queen bedroom, a double-size convertible TableBed, a sleeper sofa, a living room, two bathrooms and a kitchenette. They run about $480 to $890 a night before tax in 2027.

When you're weighing that against two rooms or a villa, price your dates both ways. Our [two rooms vs. one villa breakdown](https://www.stackthemagic.com/two-hotel-rooms-or-one-2-bedroom-villa-the-family-of-five-math-at-disneys-animal-kingdom-lodge/) shows how that works at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

## So, where should you book?

If you can stretch, book a 1-bedroom villa that sleeps five. If you own DVC points, use them. If you don't, renting points can bring a villa well under Disney's cash price, and our [DVC rentals vs. Disney direct math](https://www.stackthemagic.com/dvc-rentals-vs-disney-direct-the-complete-math/) shows when. For a smaller budget, a Moderate with a fifth bed or an Art of Animation Family Suite does the job. Run your own dates through our [Hotel Comparison](https://www.stackthemagic.com/hotel-comparison/), then confirm capacity on Disney's page for the room you pick.
